LINED LOG BURNER/STOVE

Price is per appliance. This includes a small service on the log burner, removing the fire bricks (where possible), cleaning the glass as well as smoke test and certification.

This is where the log burner has been installed in to an existing chimney with no flue liner. There are usually hatches to allow the clearing of deposits following the chimney sweep. Small service, smoke test and certification as standard.

Some gas fires will be able to be swept without the need to remove the appliance, generally if you can see up the chimney from the opening above the appliance. If the appliance needs to be removed then this will need to be carried out by a Gas Safe engineer prior to our visit.
BIRDS NEST REMOVAL

Birds nest removals include a CCTV inspection to confirm that the flue has been cleared of all debris. In accordance with the Wildlife & Countryside Act, it is an offence to destroy a live nest. FIRE ROPE REPLACEMENT

PREPARATION FOR THE SWEEPING APPOINTMENT
Appliances should not be used in the 24 hours leading up to an appointment. Please remove any ash/debris/other items from the fire grate so it is clear. We require a space of around 6ft in front of the fireplace, so please move any coffee tables/furniture and items from the hearth.
SECURITY
The sweeping process may involve multiple trips to and from our vehicle. This can mean that doors sometimes remain open. It is the responsibility of the owner/occupier to ensure all valuables are secure and away from the work route/area.
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
Your chimney will be swept and inspected by a qualified chimney sweep to the national standards and registered with the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps. All our services are conducted in good faith. Visual inspections will be carried out to the appliance and chimney, we will give you our opinion based on what we can see, however due to the concealed nature of chimneys and appliances, please do not rely on our opinion as a guarantee that the appliance and/or chimney are safe and/or free of faults or issues related to age, misuse, or poor installation The chimney sweep will assume, unless otherwise told by the owner/occupier that the appliance, flue, terminals and all component parts are correctly and safely installed and are in a fit state to be swept. If an issue occurs during the sweeping process, this is not the fault of the sweep, unless we are deemed to be in breach of contract.
