Before Your Appointment — Please Read

Preparing for Your Chimney Sweep

Please ensure your fire or stove has been completely cold for at least 24 hours before your appointment
Remove any ash, debris or items from the fire grate so it is clear
We require approximately 6ft of space in front of the fireplace — please move furniture, coffee tables and hearth items
If the appliance is too hot to work on safely, a call-out charge will still apply

Security

The sweeping process may involve multiple trips to and from our vehicle, which can mean doors remain open
It is the responsibility of the owner or occupier to ensure all valuables are secure and away from the work route

General Terms

All work is carried out by a qualified chimney sweep registered with the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps, NCASS or Hetas
Visual inspections are conducted in good faith — due to the concealed nature of chimneys and appliances, our opinion cannot be relied upon as a guarantee that the appliance or flue is free from faults related to age, misuse or poor installation
The chimney sweep will assume, unless otherwise advised, that all components are correctly and safely installed and in a fit state to be swept
